He called himself a discoverer
…of some sort.
Complete with a superior philosophy of all that’s right with the Earth.
And uninvited analyses of how his way probably could benefit the masses.
The uninformed yet to be indoctrinated masses.
Most of which he never actually met.
So the pioneer sat pretty important on his side of the world.
Ruminating. Calculating. Anticipating.
Never caring for the other hemisphere.
Just highlighted Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
Then an epiphany…
He decided to oblige and peruse what’s outside his narcissistic eye.
Uncharted undernourished places.
Or he assumed.
So, this explorer embarked on new-to-him land filled with strange people
Using unfamiliar unsophisticated tongue.
Harnessing and harboring uncountable rich resources the man lusted for.
So he unabashedly unashamedly proclaimed, “It’s mine.”
He and his mighty men.
Unbelievable.
Then there was confusion. Disagreement. Treaties. Illnesses.
Untreatable.
Death uninvited. Like this here pioneer.
Trails of tears. Brainwashed ears.
Strange people in fear. Prisoners on their own lands.
And now they don’t own
A thing.
Just their dignity which was unseen.
He called himself a discoverer
…of some sort.
They just called him a fool.
