Nora is on the Run!
It’s hard to put into words what has transpired over the last two weeks.
Nora has jumped out of the jar, and she’s officially on the run.
A growing number of readers are now on the journey with her, turning pages, meeting new friends, and experiencing the twists and turns of Nora Escapes the Bakery. One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been seeing children engage with the discussion prompts and bake-and-draw activity at the end of the book.
One of my goals for Nora is to encourage children to use their imagination and enjoy life beyond a screen. Life gets messy, but adventures are fun.

Giving Nora Her Shine
Over the past two weeks, I’ve been contacting news stations, blogs, bookstores, and community organizations. I even reactivated my TikTok account.
To be honest, marketing scares me. I’m a very introverted person, and putting myself out there doesn’t come naturally. But Nora deserves every opportunity I can give her, so I’m doing my best to help her find her readers.
I’m incredibly grateful for the reviews already appearing on Amazon and Goodreads. I’m also thankful for the text messages, phone calls, emails, comments, and DMs.

Bakery Collaboration
I’m also excited to share that Nora Escapes the Bakery is partnering with Cupcakes with Purpose, a local Baltimore bakery with a mission to make a difference.
Together, we’re planning special cookie flavors, book-and-cookie boxes, behind-the-scenes content, and community events throughout the summer and fall. As part of the collaboration, 15% of proceeds will support a non-profit right here in Baltimore.
